Stop press – Defra commits to Environmental Land Management Scheme

Despite recent media stories casting doubt on Environmental Land Management (ELM) Schemes The Government have reiterated their commitment to ELMS with continued roll out of existing standards and piloting of further standards. Applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) opened in June with no end date for applications. Currently SFI have three standards to apply for: Arable and Horticultural Soils, Improved Grassland Soils and Moorland.
