The Stamp Duty holiday up to house values of £250,000 is scheduled to end by 30th September, with a reversion to the historic rates of SDLT. Interest Rates continue at a record low, with many lenders looking to pass on favourable rates to consumers looking to spend. The demand from active buyers wanting outside space and to immerse in rural life continues to be a market leader. However, there will undoubtedly be bumps along the road: fiscal pressure, end of furlough and wider economic uncertainty will combine to downplay some of the confidence within the current marketplace.
As such, the honest answer is, as our experience would attest, do not rely on current market conditions being sustained into the medium-to-long term.
