The field is located off Carrfield Lane in the village of Barwick in Elmet. The village is located on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre and has good transport links on to the A64, A1(M) and M1.
Description
A single arable field extending to 23.36 acres (9.45 hectares). The land is classified as Grade 2 on the Agricultural Land Classification for England and Wales and is suitable for cereal and root crops. There is a 5 metre width access track to the field along Carrfield Lane.
The Soil Survey shows the land as predominantly in the Aberford Soil Series describing soil that are shallow, locally brashy, well drained calcareous fine loamy soils over limestone with some deeper calcareous soils in colluvium.
