DEFRA reveals the transition to the ELM Scheme
DEFRA has revealed the transition to the ELM Scheme and the phasing out of BPS from 2021 to 2027.
The following initiatives will be available as part of ELMS:
- The Sustainable Farming Incentive
- Local Nature Recovery
- Landscape Recovery
DEFRA will also be offering a range of support mechanisms to help farmers get their business ready for the agricultural transition.
The Lump Sum Option will also be introduced to allow farmers to retire.
